Despite
being a small village there is plenty to see here. The main square
in Xaghra is one of the most attractive on Gozo featuring old-fashioned
shops, cafes and a good restaurant. At the entrance of the village is Ta'Kola
Windmill, which was built in 1725 and still has its sails and original wooden
machinery intact. The village also has two caves Xerri's Grotto and Ninu's
Cave. To walk through a house into a cave full of stalagmites is a novel
experience. Finally, Pomskizillious Toy Museum is a delightful experience
full of old toys and will delight everyone from children to adults
remembering their youth.
